# Audit your ad account in 15 minutes: 10 ad types every account needs

Customers don't buy from a single ad. They see several ads before deciding, and if they're all the same type, you lose them for most of the journey. This audit shows you in a quarter of an hour what your account is missing.

An ad account audit means reviewing all your active ads and sorting them by type, then comparing them against a list of ten types every healthy account needs. The missing types are your priority for the next round of production.

## Why isn't one winning ad enough?

The common mistake is hunting for "the winning ad" and building everything on it. In reality, customers go through a journey: they discover the brand, then compare, then decide. Each stage needs a different message.

If all your ads are the same type, say, all product-trial videos, you're speaking to the customer at only one stage and leaving them alone for the rest. That's why variety in an account isn't a luxury; it's part of its structure.

The idea and the list of types below are inspired by the methodology of performance-advertising expert Dara Denney, adapted to what we see in Saudi market campaigns on TikTok, Snapchat, and Meta.

## 10 ad types every account needs

A healthy account has most of these types, at least seven or eight of them:

1. **Educational video:** explains how to use the product or teaches something useful, which builds trust. See [how-to videos](https://ugceer.com/en/content/howto/).
2. **Platform-native content:** a video that looks like a regular TikTok or Snapchat post, not an ad. This is the essence of [UGC content](https://ugceer.com/en/what-is-ugc/), and it usually costs less to deliver.
3. **Ads from the creator's account:** they run under the creator's own name, so people trust them more. On TikTok these are called [Spark Ads](https://ugceer.com/en/learn/spark-ads/).
4. **Objection-handling video:** "Too expensive?", "Is it right for me?", "When will it arrive?" A straight answer to hesitation brings the customer closer to buying. See [honest reviews](https://ugceer.com/en/content/review/).
5. **Static awareness ad:** an image and copy for an audience that doesn't know you yet.
6. **Static sales ad:** a clear offer or discount for people close to buying.
7. **Content from the founder or team:** real faces behind the product telling the story.
8. **AI-animated video:** a new format worth trying, but carefully, and don't rely on it alone. Compare in [UGC vs. AI video](https://ugceer.com/en/compare/ugc-vs-ai-video/).
9. **The winning idea with a new creator:** the same angle that worked, presented by a different person. The easiest way to extend the life of a successful ad.
10. **The winning idea for a new segment:** the same angle aimed at another customer group, such as mothers instead of young people, or [expat communities](https://ugceer.com/en/residents/).

## Where to see your ads and your competitors' ads

**The Meta Ad Library** is a free tool that shows any brand's active ads on Facebook and Instagram, with no login required:

1. Open facebook.com/ads/library.
2. Choose the country and set the ad type to "All ads."
3. Type the brand name, and its active ads will appear.
4. Take a screenshot of each ad; you'll need them in the next step.

Focus only on active ads, since they reflect what the brand is doing now. For TikTok ideas, browse the Top Ads section in the TikTok Creative Center.

## The 15-minute audit, step by step

1. **Set up a table (3 minutes):** four columns: ad type, present or not, number of ads, best ad.
2. **Open the Ad Library (2 minutes):** go through all your active ads.
3. **Classify each ad (7 minutes):** decide which of the ten types it belongs to. If it covers two types, put it under both.
4. **Find the gaps (3 minutes):** missing types are your first production priority, and types with only one ad are your second.

The result is a clear table that tells you what to produce next month, instead of repeating the same type of ad and expecting a different result.

## How to fill the gaps

Most types on the list are creator videos: educational, platform-native, creator-account ads, objection handling, and the winning idea with a new creator or for a new segment. These are exactly what UGCeer creators deliver.

Describe what you need in [AI search](https://ugceer.com/en/features/ai-search/) and choose your creators yourself, or let our team audit your account and build the full plan with a [managed campaign](https://ugceer.com/en/managed/).

## FAQ

How often should I audit my ad account?

Once a month is enough for most accounts, plus before any big season such as Ramadan, Saudi National Day, or White Friday.

Do I need all ten types?

Not necessarily. A healthy account has at least seven or eight types. What matters most is that it isn't all one type.

Does this audit work for TikTok and Snapchat accounts?

Yes. The Meta library shows only Facebook and Instagram ads, but the same list applies to any platform: sort your active ads from each platform's ads manager and identify what's missing.
