## Introduction

**1.1 Scope of these standards**
These standards explain what we accept and what we do not accept in orders, videos and conduct on the UGCeer platform (“the Platform”, “we”). They apply to clients and content creators, on the website and in the creators app.

**1.2 Why these standards exist**
Videos filmed through the Platform run as ads on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube inside Saudi Arabia. So every order is checked against three references together: the laws of Saudi Arabia, the content controls issued by the General Authority for Media Regulation and other competent authorities, and the advertising policies of the platforms where the video will be published.

**1.3 What they protect**
These standards protect the client from having an ad rejected or stopped, protect the creator from filming something they could be held accountable for, and protect the audience who will watch the ad.

**1.4 Updates**
We update these standards whenever the relevant laws or controls change. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.

## Professionalism and Respect

**2.1 Conduct**
Clients and creators deal with each other and with the Platform team professionally and respectfully.

**2.2 Abuse**
Harassment, discrimination and abuse of any kind are prohibited, in conversations and in content.

## Appearance and Filming

**3.1 Modesty**
Everyone who appears in a video, man or woman, wears modest clothing that suits public taste in Saudi Arabia. We do not accept clothing that exposes the shoulders, chest or legs, tight clothing that shows the shape of the body, see-through clothing, or clothing with images, phrases or symbols that offend public taste.

**3.2 Women’s appearance**
The Platform’s standard is that women appear with a head covering. The front of the hair showing, as is usual in everyday dress, is acceptable. We do not accept videos where the hair is uncovered.

**3.3 Filming clothing and personal products**
Underwear, sleepwear, swimwear, and products worn on the body in a way that exposes it, are shown without being worn: laid flat, on a mannequin, or in close-up shots of the product alone.

**3.4 People are not a lure**
A person’s appearance in the video is tied to the product and how it is used. We do not accept filming that relies on a woman’s or man’s body to attract attention away from the product.

**3.5 Children**
Children are not filmed as part of the content. The exception is a product made for children, when needed, with the guardian’s consent and presence, in an appropriate way that does not exploit the child or expose them to ridicule, and without asking the child to promote the product directly.

**3.6 Domestic workers**
Domestic workers are not filmed as part of the content.

**3.7 Private places and people**
No one is filmed without their permission, and families or children are not filmed in private places.

**3.8 Suggestive content**
Any word, gesture or shot with sexual innuendo is prohibited, even if the product itself is acceptable.

## Public Taste and Values

**4.1 Language**
Vulgar or offensive language is prohibited.

**4.2 Showing off**
Showing off money, possessions or cars is prohibited. The product is shown for its value and use.

**4.3 Bullying and mockery**
Bullying, mocking or belittling people is prohibited, even as a joke or prank.

**4.4 Racism**
Anything that stirs racism, tribalism, regionalism or sectarianism is prohibited.

**4.5 Family privacy**
Exposing family privacy or showing family disputes is prohibited.

**4.6 National identity**
Any content that conflicts with national identity or offends social and national values is prohibited.

**4.7 Blackmail and exploitation**
Any content involving blackmail, threats, or exploitation of children in any form is prohibited.

## Products and Services We Do Not Accept

**5.1 The rule**
We do not accept orders to film the following products and services, even if they are sold elsewhere.

**5.2 Dating**
Dating and matchmaking apps and websites.

**5.3 Sexual products**
Sexual products and devices, sexual performance enhancers, and any product marketed with sexual innuendo.

**5.4 Tobacco**
Tobacco products, e-cigarettes and their accessories.

**5.5 Prohibited items**
Alcohol, drugs and similar substances, gambling and betting, weapons and ammunition, counterfeit products, and any product or service whose sale or advertising is prohibited by Saudi law.

**5.6 Products that require registration**
Health and medical products, supplements and cosmetics that must be registered by law, unless registered with the competent authority. We may ask the client for proof before accepting the order.

## Nature of the Videos and Honesty

**6.1 Two kinds of videos**

- **Paid orders:** a video filmed by a creator at the client’s request, for a fee. This is advertising content, even if some call it UGC or “user-generated content”, and it is not presented as the opinion of an ordinary customer who was not paid.
- **Gifted product reviews:** a company sends its product to a creator free of charge to try and give their opinion. The opinion belongs to the creator alone. The company may not require it to be positive or write it for them, and the creator states in the video that they received the product from the company.

**6.2 Video types in paid orders**
The client chooses the video type when ordering, and each type has its own nature:

- **Ads and presentation:** ad videos, product showcase, how-to, and talking to camera. The creator presents the product as the ad’s presenter and may act out a scene or script written by the client, in a way that is clearly an ad.
- **Experience:** honest review, unboxing, and on-site visit. The creator actually tries the product or service and conveys the experience as it happened.
- **Faceless:** shots of the product and hands with the creator’s voice.

**6.3 Honest review**
In an honest review, the creator tries the product first, then gives their real opinion. The client may specify what the video should cover, but may not write or impose the opinion itself. If the creator finds the product poor or not as described, they may decline to complete the video without any liability, the order is cancelled, and its value returns to the client’s balance under the [Points & Refund Policy](https://ugceer.com/en/terms-of-payment/).

**6.4 What we do not accept**

- Presenting the video as a testimonial or review from a real customer who bought the product themselves, when that is not the case.
- A creator saying they bought the product, used it for a certain period, or got a certain result, when that did not happen.
- Using the video or the creator’s name or image to write reviews or comments on online stores, Google Maps, app stores or social accounts.
- Publishing the video on pages such as “What our customers say” or “Customer testimonials” as if it were a customer’s opinion.
- A creator claiming to be a doctor, expert or specialist when they are not.

**6.5 Describing the product**
Attributing to a product a quality or feature it does not have is prohibited: saying it is original when it is counterfeit, giving it a country of manufacture other than its own, or describing its longevity, ingredients or results contrary to fact. Claims of curing diseases, guaranteed profit or guaranteed results, fake or edited “before and after” footage, and swearing oaths to vouch for a product are also prohibited. All of this is fraud and deception of the consumer, and we do not accept it in any type of video.

**6.6 Responsibility for product information**
The client provides the product’s information and specifications in the order and is responsible for their accuracy. The creator states what they can verify themselves, such as the product’s appearance, how it is used and their experience with it. What they cannot verify, such as country of manufacture, ingredients and certifications, they state as attributed to the manufacturer.

**6.7 The creator’s right**
A creator may refuse any line or scene that asks them to say something they know to be untrue about themselves or the product, without this counting as a failure on their part.

**6.8 How videos are published**
Paid-order videos are published as ads through the brand’s account or the platforms’ ad tools, with the disclosure the ad platform requires. If published on the creator’s personal account, the creator must hold a valid Mawthooq license and state that the content is advertising.

**6.9 Accurate information**
Clients and creators provide accurate information in their profiles and orders.

## Charities

**7.1 Inside Saudi Arabia only**
We accept filming orders only from licensed charities and charitable organizations inside Saudi Arabia.

**7.2 Required documents**
Before the order is accepted, the organization provides proof of its license from the competent authority, its registration certificate, and its register or unified number.

**7.3 Organizations outside Saudi Arabia**
Filming for a charity outside Saudi Arabia, or to raise donations for an organization outside Saudi Arabia, is prohibited.

**7.4 Unlicensed fundraising**
Filming to raise donations for individuals, through personal accounts, or for an organization without a valid license is prohibited.

## Review and the Right to Stop

**8.1 Review**
We review products, orders and videos, and may reject, stop or cancel any order at any stage if it violates these standards.

**8.2 Published videos**
If a video filmed through the Platform is published in a way that violates these standards, or used for a purpose other than the one agreed, we may report it to the ad platform and the competent authorities and ask them to stop it.

**8.3 Value of a cancelled order**
The value of orders cancelled due to a violation is returned under the [Points & Refund Policy](https://ugceer.com/en/terms-of-payment/), unless the violation was deliberate on the client’s part.

## Privacy

**9.1 Other people’s information**
Do not share other people’s personal information, and do not film anyone without their consent.

**9.2 Dealing outside the Platform**
Asking for contact details or making arrangements outside the Platform is prohibited.

**9.3 Account security**
Protect your account with a strong password and do not share your login details with anyone.

## Intellectual Property

**10.1 Protected material**
Music, images, trademarks or other protected material may not be used without their owners’ permission.

**10.2 Client responsibility**
The client guarantees that they have the right to use the trademarks, logos and materials they ask to appear in the video.

## Reporting and Enforcement

**11.1 Reporting**
Report any violation to the Platform team from inside the app or at **[hi@ugceer.com](mailto:hi@ugceer.com)**. We review reports quickly and fairly.

**11.2 Actions**
A violation may lead to a warning, a temporary suspension or a permanent ban, depending on its severity and repetition.

**11.3 Appeals**
Users may appeal a decision within 30 days of it being issued.
